Greeley’s gearing up for a good-old, whole-town Homecoming, starting with fireworks

The Greeley Sports Boosters for the second year will sponsor a fireworks extravaganza at around 8 p.m. this Friday, October 19, at the school football field to kick off Homecoming, a weekend of sports – soccer, volleyball, cross country and football—and fun events for the entire community. Volleyball and soccer games start at 4:30 p.m., the the Parade of Teams at 6:45 p.m.

Ragamuffin Parade & Carnival at the Chappaqua Train Station 10/21/12

The New Castle Recreation and Parks Dept will be holding its annual Ragamuffin Parade and Carnival on Sunday, Oct. 21 (rain date: Oct. 28). The Carnival begins at 12:30pm and the Parade begins at 3:30pm at the Chappaqua Train Station. The whole family is invited to dress in costume, march in the parade, ride the carnival rides and enjoy a full afternoon of fun!

Apple Pie Contest


Bring entries to Chappaqua Farmers market between 8:30 and 9:30 am on Oct 13th.  Pie should have their name, e mail, and phone on the bottom of the dish. Judging will take place at 11:30am.

Grand prize will be awarded to the 1st place winning recipe
Prizes will be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place winners

Pies without recipes or made with store-bought crusts and/or fillings will be disqualified.
