It follows Junie B.’s adventures that she writes down in her “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal.” about new friends, new glasses, sugar cookies, the annual kickball tournament, and other various first-grade angst-ridden situations. Harvest Fest Pumpkin Patch, Church of St. Mary The Virgin, Sat, 10/13: 11am-3pm: Buy your Halloween pumpkin at this event at St. Mary The Virgin, next to Bell Middle School. On Saturday, there will will games, face painting, crafts, photo ops, pumpkin decorating and a pie sale, donuts, cider and hot dogs. Jazz Age Lawn Party, featuring Michael Arenella’s Dreamland Jazz Orchestra, Benefit for the New Castle Historical Society, Sun, 9/16: 4pm: Michael Arenella’s Dreamland Orchestra is widely recognized for their performances at Jazz Age Lawn Parties on NYC’s Governor’s Island. Here they perform for the New Castle Historical Society’s Greeley House and it’s educational programs. Tickets are just $30-35.
