THE DEWEY DECIMAL FESTIVAL
You’re invited to an evening of merriment as the Friends of the Chappaqua Library present THE DEWEY DECIMAL FESTIVAL, an evening of original ten-minute comedies.
WE’RE PLAYING IN THE STACKS!
We’ve chosen the best of more than a hundred short comedies about books and libraries, submitted by playwrights from around the world. For one night only, we bring them to you live, performed as staged readings, by a team of talented thespians gifted in the theatrical arts.
Ticket proceeds benefit the Friends of the Chappaqua Library, the group that supports those library programs you love, like Nursery Rhyme Time, Big Truck Day, the Foreign Policy Discussion group, careers workshops, book discussion groups, and many, many more. The Friends also fund special projects like the Shakespeare Garden and the Butterfly Courtyard, and special acquisitions. Remember when you sang along with Faust, and laughed along with Red Dwarf, and dined along with Downton Abbey? Also the Friends.
So come join us! Bring your family, friends, mailman, masseuse, mother-in-law and anyone else who wants to support this gem of a library.
One performance only, Saturday, October 18, 7.30 pm, at the Chappaqua Library Theatre, 195 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua NY.
For one low price you get not one, not two, but eight new comedies, and you also support the Friends of the Library (priceless!)
