June 16th: 82nd Annual Graduation Horace Greeley High School Chappaqua

Horace Greeley High School will hold its 82nd graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 16 at 5:00 p.m. on the school’s Competition Field.

Tickets are not required and additional parking is available at Chappaqua Crossing.

This year’s valedictorian is Sasha Zemsky, and the salutatorian is Juliana Posen.

Student Council President

Robert Rhodes, Principal

Michele Glenn, Class Principal

Victoria Tipp, Board of Education President

Dr. Lyn McKay, Superintendent of Schools

Music will be performed by the Horace Greeley High School Band under the direction of Dr. Raymond Lucia.

26th Year for New Castle 10K Road Race

Sunday, May 19th marks the 26th running of the New Castle 10K Road Race sponsored by New Castle Physical Therapy and Personal Training.  This long standing New Castle tradition takes runners through one of the most challenging and scenic courses the area has to offer!

The race begins at New Castle Town Hall at 8:10am.  Pre-race registration is $20.00 and must be received by Thursday, May 16.  Registration on the day of the race is $25.00.  To register complete the race registration form, click HERE, and submit to the Recreation & Parks Office in Town Hall with payment.

A Kids Fun Run will take place immediately following the start of the 10K.  Registration for the Kids Fun Run is free and will be taken the day of the race.


10th Annual “Castles of New Castle” Historical Society House Tour

2013 house tour showcases 5 fantastic homes in a range of architectural styles.  All homes are filled with the unusual and the charming.  We offer an optional buffet lunch at one of Chappaqua’s finest restaurants, Crabtree’s Kittle House.  click for more information on our wonderful houses!

Tickets are $50 for members;  $75 for non-members.  Members will be allotted tickets before non-members.  No more than 300 tickets will be sold.


Chappaqua Farmer’s Market is coming back to the train station May 4th

Local resident Priscilla Sorensen is starting a Friend of the Farmers Market group that will be comprised of market supporters from community members, groups, businesses etc.
